Session monitoring, if enabled, allows you to track the duration of your current
session and the net number of words you have added to your notebook during the current
session.
A session lasts from the time a notebook is opened until that notebook is closed.
NOTE: There is always an active session in PieceWorx Writing Studio, just as there is always an active
notebook. When you close a notebook, you are then in a new empty, unsaved notebook and the session has restarted with default settings.
From here, of course, you could add content to the current notebook and save it or you could open a new notebook file.
To view the current session status, use the hotkey
Ctrl+Alt+K or
Right-click->Session.
You can also click on one of the session or alert status icons toward the left of
the status bar.
In addition to tracking duration and words in a session, you can also create alerts
for time or word targets.
For more details on configuring your session and alerts, visit the
Session Monitoring and Alerts page under Settings.
