Hi! I'm Steve and welcome to PieceWorx.
A few years ago while working on my novel at a local restaurant, I grew increasingly frustrated with the software tools available for writers.
After trying several different programs, I still wasn't happy. Some were too hard. Some were too soft. Some were too buggy. Some were too...just wrong. Sadly, none was just right.
To make matters worse, the offerings for those of us writing on Microsoft Windows were particularly sparse.
As a successful Windows software engineer, I eventually decided I would create my own writing software—software that worked the way I worked.
More than a thousand hours later, I had PieceWorx Writing Studio.
I've come a long way, but I'm just beginning to fulfill my vision of a full featured IWE.
I hope you'll give PieceWorx Writing Studio a try and let me know what you think.
About Me
I am a former particle physicist, an award winning software engineer and a writer with millions of visitors to my blogs.
I completed my thesis research at CERN, the particle physics research lab near Geneva, Switzerland and the birth place of the web. While at CERN my innovative work with the World Wide Web was showcased in CERN's international magazine, the CERN Courier.
Since then, I've appeared on CNN, worked for Microsoft and provided software solutions for numerous organizations large and small.
