We are lucky this week to hear from author Brandan Callahan. He is both a skilled investigator and a talented writer. In addition, he is one of the most genuine and down-to-earth people I know which makes his up coming book all the more chilling. Today, he's talking about momentum and his perspective on PieceWorx Writing Studio.
- Steve
When thinking about writing a book, it can be a daunting task in and of itself. There are seemingly countless factors that come into play when attempting to put something on paper that will feel worthy of the reader's time. The goal in writing is to tell a story, to draw in your reader and give them an experience they will remember long after the story has been told.
Writing can be a very stressful endeavor when dealing with all the factors that go into it. Having to worry about the end result and how in the world you will find your way there is one of the biggest concerns. One thing that can help the process and allow the writer to find a quick and easy flow is using the right program.
I had finished writing my first book and was awaiting the release of the book when Steve approached me about using the PieceWorx Writing Studio program. The timing was impeccable because there are a number of editorial processes to go through before the final product is reached. To be honest, it felt a little overwhelming to think about using a new program while trying to meet deadlines for my publisher.
I sat down and installed the program and figured I would give this a chance since I know Steve to be a very intuitive and forward-thinking man. I could certainly do without the ever-changing process of learning and re-learning certain other programs that should at this point be the easiest to know and learn since they are widely used throughout the world. Unfortunately, those programs that should be easy just aren't, so I was wide open to the idea of finding something more suitable for my future writings and had high hopes that this program might fill a niche that would suit my needs.
Almost immediately, I was blown away! I read through a good portion of the tutorial, but before I knew it, I had to set that down and simply begin using the program. It really is simple, not only to use for writing, but just figuring it out! Are you stuck and need to figure out how to do something? Easy, right click and there it is! As many options as you may need with a simple right click. Finally, we can put the rest the endless tabs at the top of the page, digging through layer upon layer of potential help and wondering where to click to do this one thing. This program simply allows you to take a few seconds as needed to make your adjustment and continue your writing.
The one thing you learn quickly as a writer is this, momentum is everything!
When you have thoughts and pieces of the writing ready to find their way to paper, the last thing you want to do is deal with the hassle of trying to figure out the complicated details that come with a less than user friendly program.
PieceWorx Writing Studio is a program designed for you, the writer. It takes away all the stress and you don't have to feel like you need a certification of some sort to understand the program. Of course, as with anything new, there is a bit of a learning curve.
I will say this though, I do not fancy myself any sort of programmer or engineer of any kind. I am a writer, that is what I do. I want to leave the worry about the program to the experts. I simply want the writing left to me!
PieceWorx Writing Studio is a remarkably easy program to learn. Yes, I am still learning and am more and more impressed with every use. Since I have been using PieceWorx Writing Studio, I have worked through the majority of the edits of my first book, the outline of my second book, and many potential blog entries for the future as well. I would recommend to anyone at any level of writing to give this program a shot, as it truly will work for anyone willing to try something new rather than staying with the same old, all too complicated thing! This program is designed for you to be able to sit down and write, and any adjustments that need to be made along the way are typically just a click away! I am very much looking forward to seeing this wonderful program evolve in the future, it is remarkably simple and very complete!
The House Where Evil Lurks is not a Hollywood tale; it is a true account of the most malevolent home that Brandon Callahan and his team have ever investigated. A former funeral parlor, the demon-infested property had a dungeon and a sinister past that included murder, suicide, and vile rituals.
When Brandon Callahan answered the homeowner's plea for help, he had no idea what he was getting himself into. A monstrously tall entity in a dark-hooded cloak moves through the embattled home it considers his domain. An expressionless phantom follows one of the investigators home. Innocent bystanders and paranormal investigators alike are plagued by physical attacks and bleed-through phenomena: inhuman laughter, bloody scratches, disembodied shrieks and growls, horrific nightmares, and escalating threats. The House Where Evil Lurks is Brandon Callahan's terrifying true story.
